Parte 2 : N1708056_Ukraine’s Air Force broke every rule of air defense strategy—and it completely rewrote modern doctri_part2 Wekfest USA: A Celebration of Performance, Precision, and Global Honda Culture in 2026 The roar of engines, the gleam of chrome, and the intoxicating aroma of premium fuels and high-performance lubricants—these sensory hallmarks return as we revisit Wekfest USA, this time immersing ourselves in the energy of the 2026 New Jersey iteration. For enthusiasts worldwide, Wekfest represents far more than just a car show; it stands as a global pilgrimage to celebrate the zenith of Japanese automotive engineering. Since its establishment by Kenneth Li in 2008, Wekfest has blossomed from a localized meet-up into an international phenomenon, solidifying its reputation as the premier showcase for JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) and modified import culture. It is the ultimate proving ground for technicians, tuners, and automotive artisans to display their most audacious creations, each bearing a unique signature of personalization and engineering mastery. This year’s event in Edison, New Jersey, was particularly notable for a dramatic shift in focus. In previous years, Wekfest New Jersey was a robust showcase of Japanese automotive diversity, featuring a strong representation of vehicles from Toyota, Nissan, and the formidable German marques. However, 2026 marked a decisive victory for Honda. Where the competition once boasted a broad spectrum, Honda utterly dominated the floor. For every Porsche 911, Toyota Supra, or Nissan Z on display, there were seemingly dozens of modified Hondas—each presenting a distinct philosophy of performance, aesthetics, and engineering. The Heart of Honda Enthusiast Culture For those of us who have dedicated years—or, in some cases, a lifetime—to the Honda brand, this dominance was more than welcome; it was cathartic. Honda has long occupied a unique space in the automotive pantheon. While the marque is often pigeonholed as the manufacturer of efficient, reliable commuters, those in the know understand that Honda is fundamentally an engineering company at its core. The brand’s heritage is built on high-revving, naturally aspirated engines, precision chassis engineering, and an unrelenting pursuit of lightweight performance. The Wekfest 2026 floor was a testament to this ethos, featuring builds that ranged from subtle, period-correct restorations to full-scale track monsters. The Unmatched 1992 Acura NSX: A Time Attack Icon Reborn One of the most striking vehicles that captured attention at Wekfest USA 2026 was the 1992 Acura NSX. Now the personal project of Marby Enriquez, the NSX has undergone a profound metamorphosis since he acquired it in 2014. Initially a pristine example of Honda’s mid-engine masterpiece, the car has been transformed into a brutal, purpose-built time attack machine, balancing raw aggression with sophisticated track-ready modifications. The car’s transformation is immediately evident upon approach. Wrapped in a breathtaking shade of deep blue, its silhouette stands out even amidst the highly modified vehicles surrounding it. The visual impact is heightened by the addition of a classic Comptech Whipple supercharger kit, a signature modification from one of the premier tuners in the United States. This forced induction system breathes life into the iconic C30A V6 engine, while a Walbro 255 high-flow fuel pump ensures the engine is consistently fed with the premium fuel required for its demanding performance profile.
A striking feature is the custom-fabricated snorkel intake, subtly inspired by the JDM-exclusive NSX-R GT. This functional intake directs cool, pressurized air directly into the engine bay, an essential upgrade for maintaining consistent performance during high-intensity track sessions. The roofline is punctuated by a carbon-fiber hood, featuring a functional scoop that serves not only as an aesthetic centerpiece but also as a crucial functional component in its Honda tuning build strategy. The engineering precision continues under the hood, where the C30A V6 produces an impressive 380 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. This power is managed by a sophisticated KW Clubsport coil-over suspension system, offering precise damping control for cornering and weight transfer. The NSX rolls on iconic Volk Racing TE37 wheels, renowned for their legendary lightweight strength, wrapped in sticky Toyo Proxes R888R competition tires. Bringing the machine to a halt are high-performance StopTech brakes, paired with Hawk pads, delivering the stopping power necessary to manage its considerable speed. A large Voltex Type 4/5 GT wing ensures relentless high-speed stability, gluing the car to the asphalt during aggressive cornering. Even after its 2020 magazine feature, the car has continued its evolution. It now sports clean white wheels and a slightly more subdued front spoiler, though the aggressive aerodynamic elements remain prominent. Enriquez’s NSX is a breathtaking masterpiece of custom Honda tuning, showcasing the incredible amount of precision, craftsmanship, and dedication that defines the Honda enthusiast community. The Honda N-BOX: A Unexpected Kei Car Star Amidst the exotic performance machines and high-strung supercars, one vehicle truly stood out for its sheer originality and playful character: the Honda N-BOX. The N-BOX represents the fascinating world of Japanese kei cars—small, economical vehicles designed to meet strict government-mandated size and engine regulations in Japan. Even the largest of these kei cars are significantly smaller than a Mazda Miata, with engine displacements typically capped at a mere 660cc. This particular N-BOX fully leans into its minivan-inspired form, offering a distinctive and frankly whimsical blend of practicality and personality. Finished in the sportier Custom trim, it boasts an assertive front fascia and a boxy silhouette that evokes Honda’s earlier American icon, the Element. However, the most eye-catching detail is the license plate, which amusingly reads “K24 NA.” Whether the owner actually managed to cram the significantly larger 2.4-liter K24 inline-four engine—nearly four times the displacement of the stock N-BOX powertrain—under the hood remains a mystery, but the car captured the imagination of attendees as a uniquely Japanese creation being showcased on American soil. Vehicles like this N-BOX truly highlight the diversity and creative spirit that defines Wekfest. Alongside the kei car, the show featured other unexpected builds, including a low-riding Honda Element with a striking blue interior and an oversized rear speaker array, as well as a pair of modified Acura MDXs—rare sights that underscored the broad spectrum of modified models on display at this year’s event. The Precision-Engineered Honda S2000: An Auto Salon Contender
The Honda S2000 has long been considered by Honda enthusiasts as the spiritual successor to the legendary NSX, representing the pinnacle of Honda’s high-revving, naturally aspirated engineering. This year’s Wekfest New Jersey featured several stunning examples of the S2000, but one, in particular, stood out as a masterpiece of precision and purpose. This build demonstrates a remarkable level of attention to detail, executed with the confidence and finesse of a vehicle destined for the Tokyo Auto Salon. Under the hood, the legendary F22C1 engine has been enhanced with a carefully curated selection of components from iconic JDM tuners. The build is crowned by a distinctive Jun valve cover, a subtle but clear indicator of the high-performance work that has been performed on the powertrain. This dedication to quality is continued beyond the engine bay, where the car rides on classicAdvan Racing wheels, synonymous with JDM track performance. It also features Renegade brakes, a Voltex rear wing, and an ASM steering wheel, each element chosen not just for function, but to balance performance with an aggressive, purpose-driven aesthetic. Among the many S2000s on display at Wekfest 2026, this example stood out as the most complete and cohesive build—a machine that would feel equally at home on a Tokyo Auto Salon display stand as it would be carving up a circuit. This level of custom Honda tuning showcases the passion and dedication of Honda enthusiasts to preserve and enhance the performance legacy of the S2000. Visual Highlights: From Motocompactos to Classic Hondas Beyond the main attractions, Wekfest New Jersey 2026 was replete with visual highlights that celebrated the breadth of Honda’s history and innovation. In one charming exhibit, scale models of various Hondas were displayed proudly in front of their full-size counterparts, offering attendees a unique perspective on the evolution of the brand’s design language. Another eye-catching piece was a livery-clad Motocompacto electric scooter, parked proudly beside a sixth-generation Civic. What made this juxtaposition particularly significant was the rear emblem on the Civic—an original 1960s Honda “H” badge, the very same wide-top design that inspired the brand’s new 0 Series EV logo. This subtle nod connected Honda’s storied past with its electrifying future, all within a single display. The Civic Hatchback: A Tribute to H-Series Muscle Amidst all the glowing LEDs, futuristic body kits, and pure track-day modifications, one humble silver Civic hatchback stood out, not for its flash, but for what resided under the hood: the only H-series engine we saw at the show. The H-series, often overshadowed by the legendary B-series and the iconic K-series, was Honda’s torquey, reliable workhorse that powered cars like the Prelude Type S and Accord Euro R.
Seeing one swapped into a modest EG generation Civic hatchback was a rare and refreshing experience. Not only has
